Vultures, falcons and breath-taking alpine birds
With the 6-seat cabin railway of the alpine pasture rails of Rauris you reach the gold wash place at the middle station or the grab bird control room at the mountain station and the hunting course in a few minutes. The normally very shy owls and other grab birds you can experience here very closely before the impressive backdrop of the national park high Tauern. Behaviour and life habits of these partially threatened animals in their existence will be described in detail in approx. 40 minutes.

Get into the Rauriser alpine pasture rail and " fly"away, highly over the roofs of the former gold grave small town Rauris. At the middle station it is called now " get all out to hunt for treasures". We achieved our goal. The gold wash place Heimalm.

Admission fees/services
Expert guidance for washing at the brook or wash conditions. We rent out to you  a gold wash dish. Glass tubes, found gold as well as a diploma about the gold search you can take home with you.

Hiking and at the same time learning about the Fauna and Flora.

An experience for the whole family is the new made Tillys nature trail.The idea for this new trail is from the Rauriser Doctor Michaela Zeileis. The aim is that children and adults get information and knowledge about Fauna and Flora but not on the common way. They will lern a lot on the adventures and playful trail.

The nature trail is very well signposted. The hike on his own takes about an hour. The track ends at the gold panning place next to the Heimalm.
